Deciding to align your smile is a big decision, and choosing how to do so is the next biggest decision you can make. There are many orthodontic treatments available in the world today, but what are the differences between Invisalign® and clear braces? Although it may not seem like it, there are many differences between the appliances, including:
Clear Braces are a tooth-colored appliance that is glued to the front surfaces of your teeth. As you go through treatment, you will come to our office to tighten and adjust your braces. This appliance is not removable but it does, however, blend in with your teeth, which gives you a natural look while you transform your smile. This treatment is available to those with non-serious alignment problems as well as those with serious alignment problems. While you wear this appliance, you will need to be cautious of the foods and drinks you consume, especially those that can stain the braces.
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that consists of multiple clear, plastic aligners. These aligners cover all of your teeth, like a rubber mouth guard would, and they gradually transform your smile throughout time. The aligners are removable, virtually invisible, and only available for those with non-serious alignment issues. As you proceed through treatment, you can eat and drink whatever you would like as well as brush and floss your teeth normally.
